A lot of people get tripped up when it comes to the first date questions and what you should not say. This is something that will usually determine whether or not you get to have a second date. Make sure that you understand what is okay to say to a person on the first date and what some things that you should not say are.
What’s Okay to Ask
Asking them typical questions like if they have any brothers or sisters, what they do for a living and what they do for fun are always okay to ask. These are easy questions that can easily lead into more questions and deeper conversations about their childhood and what they are passionate about. Ask if they have any pets or if they like to travel. These are great first date questions.
What’s not Okay to Ask
It is not good to ask a person on the first date how much money they make. While you can talk about your work with them, don’t get too personal as it can make them uncomfortable. Try not to mention politics or ask them about any upcoming elections as it can lead to both of you hearing something you don’t want to hear.
What Not to Say
Always remember to keep any talk about your ex out of the first date. This usually lets the other person know that you are not over your ex. Even if you are it can make it seem like they are on your mind way more often than they should be.
